Daniel Gootnick is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist. Having graduated from New York University’s Tisch Film School, Gootnick has since gone on to have explored a range of media including installation, video, performance, and photography.
He has produced and directed music videos, commercials, and short films that have received exclusive features on Director’s Notes and Film Shortage. His promotional videos for immersive theatre shows The Nest and The Willows have resulted in sold-out seasonal runs attended by hundreds of people.
His one-act play, Interrupted (Speech), was shown for a limited run at the Studio / Stage Theatre as part of the 2019 Los Angeles Fringe Festival.
He has worked for prominent fine artists Joanne Corno and Kerry Tribe, the latter having served as Assistant Editor for her thirty-minute, three-channel installation piece at 356 Mission Gallery entitled “The Aphasia Poetry Club.”
